A NOTE ABOUT "AN EMPIRE OF EMBERS" PLAY CYCLE 

1875  -  2 Women, 2 Men    -  The founder of a timber empire is aging, his erratic decisions and behavior drive his son to demand that he relinquish control of the company and the family. The father's refusal and a betrayal, forces the son to uproots his family and moves away until he is  lured back by an extravagant 'lumberjack shindig' that turns violent.

1899  -  2 Women, 2 Men    -  The young heir to the Embers Timber Company returns home to assume his role in the family dynasty. He brings with him an older wife who is with child. The parentage of the unborn child may not be the young father.

1921  -  2 Women, 2 Men   -   The heir to the Embers Timber  has not returned from the great war and is reported killed in action. The family reads and rereads his letters from the front refusing to believe that he is dead. A new letter arrives throwing is mother and wife into unbounded expectation that sends them to France to look for him

1941  -  2 Women, 2 Men  -  The youngest Embers heir is now running the family logging business when a teenage girl, the wife of his older brother, arrives. She is pregnant and has visions of everyone's impending violent death. The girl is committed to an asylum but escapes and returns to steal her new baby.

1963  - 2 Women, 2 Men  -   The alcoholic head of the Embers dynasty is outraged when  his "artistic" son brings home a classmate who is pregnant. The teenagers are forced into marriage that gives the girl standing to dominate the family with  self center callous abandon

2012 - 3 Women, 1 Male (they/them)  -    The woman who now heads the Embers family has suffered multiple strokes. A strange woman appears at the door claiming they own the house. The older daughter is startled when the older woman calls the stranger by the name of her late husband the long dead Embers dynasty heir.

 2 Men, 2 Women  -  An aging conservationist  whose passion forces him to hide in a high Sierra camp, supplied by his long time friend,  a hard-bitten woman mule driver and a lady glaciologist. 

4 Women, 5 Men  A boisterous comedy of perverse intentions, a farce of love,  impersonations, switched identities, multiple genders that ranges across the planet from the Arctic to New York, to South America and Paris.

4 Women, 5 Men (more players optional) A multi-stage, science fiction, outer space, action comedy for all audiences, inspired by the original comic and motion picture serial. Flash and Dale blast off to a wandering planet to save Earth from an arch villain.
